¡Buen provecho!

Julian Serrano: The Art of Las Vegas’ Most Famous Restaurant
“A lot of people don’t know that I love to ride my bike in my off time,” says Julian Serrano, Executive Chef at Picasso, a restaurant within Las Vegas’ famous Bellagio Hotel (and from SPAIN!).
Just as Lance Armstrong never aimed to be like other cyclists in his methods and training, Serrano, the leisurely rider and “cyclist” in the kitchen explains, “I try not to worry about what other restaurants are doing. I buy the best produce and ingredients I can find and we do the best that we can to create a fun and memorable experience for our guests. I would have to say my favorite dishes are my Huevos Estrellados, Stuffed Piquillo Peppers, Avocado Cannelloni with Salmon and Raspberry and Tuna Skewers.”
“My restaurant has a good energy and it’s very welcoming with open spaces. And tapas promote conversation, which helps keep the good energy. The food we serve here is all Spanish influence with several traditional and new tapas. My guests should definitely order the sangria or the Serrano cocktail. Both are signature drinks and are great complements to my food. Also, don’t miss the Churros, Crema Catalana and the Santiago’s cake.” Spoken well by the gentleman who was awarded the AAA Five
Diamond Award not once but 11 times. ¡Buen provecho!

I have been working on contacting the right people to write a Feature Story, Interview and create a Pictorial for Chef Julian Serrano since August of this year when I went with a friend to Las Vegas for what I called a “TLC Trip”. I was blown away by the Spanish Paella and it inspired me so much I had to buy a Paella pan when I got home at Sur La Table!
I would be interested in communicating with you and helping me do this. I have been talking to the MGM Grand Inernational and they said even an interview like this would have to be approved by them. Is that right?
NOTE: I was searching on Google + for him and found your interview which was done very recently.
It is nice to meet you. Are you American or French? I like meeting others in the food industry. I don’t consider myself a competitor but someone who works in the same industry as you.
I hope you are having a happy holiday so far!

I am American. You should tell them everything you just told me about how much you loved your experience and how your article will turn out. I’m not really of much help since I don’t work at MGM. You can tell me on Twitter @justricharde when you were successful with the interview. You have to follow regular journalism procedures for getting interviews, whether your blog is food related or the Wall St. Journal.
